hi.... yeah, i have this habit of posting songs into my blog to keep it alive. Therefore, to commemorate the revival of my blog, i shall post another new song! Today was quite sucky, i think that my A Maths is totally screwed, even though it was not that hard. Better still, my handphone pouch zip snapped, and something bad happened, which i feel that only i should know about it. Anyway, i must 加油. がんばてください！今わ新年、辛いの勉強わ必要、人生の永遠が夢、一生わ明日が死が存在！

the song that i am going to tell you about is a japanese song, by orange range, called O2. It is the theme song for Code geass, season 2 and seriously, i love the sheer intelligence of the show so much!

listening to this song keeps me upbeat, and thankfully, i always have my anime to rely on! it is a rock song and the guitar, as well as the drum beats really go well together, furthermore, you can really feel the emotions in the song, it is really very real, and so , i can feel the intense it and it keeps my spirits up. Today is monday, the first monday of the school holidays and recently, i just realized that i am really mad about "iron chef" and “无敌珊宝妹”，which is a Taiwanese drama that is super nice, even though every body is getting mad over "hot shot".

First an update on my results. This is probably the best results that i have ever got, with 8A1's and 2A2's which rounds up the tally to 10A's. Especially for my english, which i got 74/100, which was the highest in the level. oh yeah. Moreover, my average was 80, which is not bad at all.

This is probably going to be the longest post i have ever made, as i go through my reflections on this year.

Well, the sec 2 year has officially ended, and i am waiting for my streaming results. It is nearly understood that i will get into the class of my choice, except that i am opting for a pretty special combi. Other than thriple science and elective history, i want to take pure geography. But the problem is, there is no such combination unless you apply for it. So, people keep telling me that there is practically no hope that i can make it in, but i want to try it, because, if i have never tried anything, how would i know that the option is not viable? Do miracles happen in this world; Does hoping against hope bring you anywhere? Have you ever felt the power of a belief? Have you ever felt the hope from a belief? I stick to my beliefs because i know that a belief can be powerful and changing my beliefs just because of manipulation is simply foolish.

I always question myself, what is left for me in this world? When my best friends set a dog on me, and watched me run without holding it back; when my best friends are the ones who hurt me most and when i go to school every day, watching the sun rise but my heart get colder. What is left for me when i watch everyone leave and i am stuck with a person whom is fickle and unable to understand what i am doing? I ask myself all this, and each answer i arrive at, i realise that i never really did have any friends at all. As me, yik xin ying, i have always searched for that person whom could understand me and understand that if there is one thing that i cannot tolerate, it is to taunt people and to hurt others. Am i in a position to say this? No, b'cause i have done it to others before. So, as all the competitiveness in my class continues, and nobody is willing to give up, i become lonelier and lonelier, and soon, my friends leave me once again.

Well, it is basically because i am unable to give them what they need, and it has always been so since primary school, the guy that i liked actually said that he liked me, but the next day, he said that that was just a joke; my soccer kakis set a golden retriver on me and they pushed the blame to me when some one nearly hit the principal with a ball. Why did this happen, i ask myself. Am i a loser? No, i reiterate, i am probably the best person in that group, in my class, in my school! Why? Simply because i think and never let anyone, regardless of jealousy, manipulation and impetuous behaviour change my perceptions and my beliefs. Sometimes, i slip into depression, being a maverick, and go beserk with my beliefs, but controlling them and being able to see the black and white of things has helped me become a person with a story.

My friends see me as a pushover, but i am the strongest one amongst them, cause they are unable to withstand a blow. I have lived my life to the fullest, experiencing betrayal, sorrow, fear, exuberance, confusion, delusion, anger, bullying, insulting, manipulation and most of all discrimination. That is why i can see deeper than a lot of people, and i face the fact that this is is way that i like to live my life, because, i rather hurt myself than hurt others and so say what you like, that i am a bootlicker, act innocent and whatever you like, because i know that for every finger you point a me, four are pointing back at you.

So, live with no regrets and rock on.

This a great song because it truly reflects the state of mind of many people and it includes mine. It truly speaks of courage and therefore, i view this song as another good song. it simply makes you feel better after listening to it and so, i thought that it would be good to post it. besides being profound, i found it really inspiring, and people who listen to it will be keen to reflect on what exactly went on in their lives and try to find answers for it. it is truly nourishment to the soul and therefore, i really find it a good song to hear.

~ long time since i blogged....`

yoz... my blog is not dead, it is just that i haven't found the time to blog. Today was a great day, because it is the last day of the EOY exams. I thought i did okay, but i really screwed english and maths. So, i hope for the best for the rest of the exams. Today, had lunch with Brenda at the foodcourt outside my school.
After that, when i got home, Tze yeng asked me to meet her at city hall, but after that, she said that her mom is going to meet her, so i went to bowl with my brother and his friend. His friend was pretty funny, so i guess that i did have some fun.:)haha!

i bought some presents for Tze yeng, and i really felt that they were nice. i hope that it is worthwhile, and they would be suitable, or not i would really kick myself. Looking forward to her party tomorrow!

i thought this song is kinda inspiring and i really like it for its meaningful lyrics. Natasha never fails to amaze me, and i really like her songs. This song also has a catchy tune to it. together, both elements of the song give me an uplifting feeling, and it really grows on you. Furthermore, pantene has already advertised it so well. So, all of you out there, who are suffering from issues of lack of self confidence, this is the song for you!

well. Did not blog since monday. Because i was very busy. i want to talk in super short sentences with no commas, because i feel very very lame today. Anyway, i just put in 2 commas. Wow, had great fun during I and E , because we came up with this name called "ilame" for our MP3 player, and our slogan was "ilame, ulame" now, we are all lame<>.

Anyway, our literature assignment is very good, the teacher praised us for the detailed explanations that we gave, as well for the good organisation. On tuesday, the exchange students from Chongqing came, and i had a great time, but i realised that i really need to brush up on my Chinese. Even though i do well during Chinese tests, our HCL textbook is only their Primary School standard! My buddy, Chuan Ren, is rather reserved, but i understand her, because i used to be like her, afraid of how others view ourselves. However, i realised that this could not carry on like this and i cannot keep satisfying others at my own expense, thus i learnt to voice out my opinions. But other than that, she is a very nice person! I mean, she is an opinionated person, with her own personality, and she voices out when necessary. For example, she gave me some really constructive advice for my chinese painting! Thanks, Chuan Ren! Anyway, one good thing that happened today, was that i got 23/30 for my english assignment, which gives me an A1.

okayz.Today, i shall talk about a new song by SECONDHAND SERENADE. This is an online band that has no label yet, but apparently, this song is so nice that it rocketed them to stardom. This song is called "FALL FOR YOU".

i really love this song. In fact, i love it so much that i am like blasting it everywhere i go, no matter whether it is the toilet or the bus(even when passengers give me strange looks when they see me lip synching). However, the thing about this song that makes it so wonderful is that it is heartfelt, and that the male lead sings it with conviction. It gives a true portrayal of the problems that one may face in love, and that struggles and friction is unavoidable, but, no matter what happens, one cannot forget the love that they had for each other, because they will bring them back together. Love involves giving and sacrifice, and thus, that is why keeping the love alive is very important, and yes, indeed, talk is cheap, so we must never be afraid of expressing what we think. okay... no more comments, so i gotta go...

~ On our way to a medal!`

Wow, i am really impressed by Tao li's performance at the Beijing olympics! She got fourth amongst the top 8 during the qualifying heats! Hip hip hurrays for her! Anyway, yesterday, i went out to play table tennis with my uncle, guoliang and my cousins, yanyi, jinyi and nicholas. We played for like 3 hours but we only booked the place for 2 hours. In the end, we had to pay the surcharge. On the way home, i played with his psp. Played juiced2 but i sorta caused him his game because i wrecked his car... noob...

seriously, my life is a boring one and one of my favourite pastimes is down loading songs from sogou.com. Now, i have 23 songs(woohoo) and still looking to download more.

This has got to be one of the most versatile songs i have ever seen. it has three verses and it occupies a lot of space. Anyway, this song has demonstrated the theme of love very well, and it speaks of love as being a drug, it creates rebels and creates "highness" in people. Very appropriate. indeed, love creates extreme happiness for those immersed in it and yes, i have seen many people in love that are oblivious to others. Although one bone of contention would be that it is similar to Rihanna's Umbrella in the chorus. Well, although that is true, i feel that it is negligable as long as it contributes to the uniqueness of the song. Well, to be honest, it sounds fantastic if you play it using surround sound. Anyway, this song is 2nd on the american billboard top 100, and Chris Brown is an established singer. Many of the songs that he has come out with have been well received. In fact, he is so good that Jordin Sparks of American Idol has featured him in her chart topping hit "No Air", which i will introduce tomorrow! okay, bye for now, as i end this relatively short post.

~ Greatness`

yay, before i say anything, i just want to say that today is not the tomorrow i indicated in my first post. it is the day after the tomorrow i indicated in my first post. Am i making sense? i hope i do. In english, it is saturday and not friday.

Anyway, i was so tired yesterday, i ran in the crosscountry. Running at a speed that was 2 times my normal speed during the last 0.8 metres. In case the other runners did not notice, there were markings on the floor, that showed how many kilometers you ran if you did simple calculations. Got stiches halfway. Well, can't blame anyone since i only ran exactly 3.2km during my training sessions. My uncle told me i have to run at least 2 times the distance during training to keep up the speed ypu are running at during the cross country. Btw, i koped my auntie's adizero running shoes without telling her, because my fila's were in a detestable state and the soles were too thin. if they were too thin, the runner would experience severe stiches and because i am flatfooted, the pain at my soles is exacerbated. haiz. the competition this year was greater and i am shocked that someone stole my sixth position just 2 metres away from the finishing line. Really surprised. i heard her footsteps but i just ran like nobody's business. Did not help at all, but she showed a lot of grit and determination and so, she deserved this position. To be honest, my stiches were killing me and i screamed thrice during the run to get rid of the pain. But my classmates cheered me on while they were carrying the banner. Felt energized after that.

Anyway, the most important mention here would be the fact that 3 runners from my class(including me).But the credit goes to yueying and brenda, who won the 3rd and 5th position placing respectively,they really excelled and to be honest, i never really catched up with them(indeed, basketballers are different) . Okay,i admit, i made it in last year,but i was the tenth position and i improved to the seventh position. felt great.But the good news does not end here,for the boys 4.8 km run,the boys were really excellent Yan lun and Tsz Hin got the 4th and 5th position ranking respectively.Not only did they improve, they overcame many adversities during the way, including yanlun's sudden asthma constrictions and strangely, an anxious lorry driver that was making strange handsigns. Yes, you know what i mean.So,as a result, the girls got first for the team event, with special thanks to iylia(she is really fit)and the boys got 3rd for the team event.

Anyway, after that, i went out with Tze yeng, her phone was spoilt, i hope it gets fixed soon. We went to ichiban sushi and i treated her to a meal, then she treated me to ice cream at Gelare. Well, one of the highlights was that we went to Spotlight and played with feathered scarfs, we played with the halloween outfits and i was surprised to hear that some schools celebrate halloween! wow! Just looked around, entered Dorothy Perkins store and they had some great outfits. However, at the Aldo store, the attendant stared at us like we are very poor like that. Really pissed. We basically window shopped till her friends arrived, then i left. Great day.

At night, the XXIX Beijing Olympics opening ceremony. It was a visual treat and i felt really proud to be a chinese. throughout the ceremony, we could see that there was a pervading theme, and that was "reaching into our past to find the present". Spectacular, reminded me of my roots. I seriously don't understand why people are so against China, the Tibetan riots and the Dalai lama issue may have resulted in serious riots, but after all, how can we forget our roots?

okay, okay, enough crapping. let me fulfil what i wanted to do on Thursday.

i really like this song as it speaks of struggles of people and the eventual winners are the people who know how to block all of this out and instead find their own place. i can relate to this song and thus, it is one of my favourite songs. in fact, many people may have found theirselves in this situation before, as Natasha rose to stardom after this song. it has a really optimistic tune and and it speaks of triumph against your sorrows, so, after that, i was really moved by the way it mixed a rendition of a classic linkin park style scream( to rescue her) and the repititive lyrics had a really hypnotic effect. it drills into you the message she is getting across and thus, i feel really happy after listening to this song. it has a complete structure of a problem and a truimph(?) really classic. i love it. i feel that the themes of release and escape really resonate here and thus, it should inspire those who feel down to beat their sorrows and emerge victorious. it takes more than other people to bring such a person down.
